I'm thrilled with your response to my request to help beat the dry in NTT! In a week, we have raised $855, including cash donations that don't appear on this page. Thank you for contributing to this worthy humanitarian cause. I guess the hardest thing about it for me is the lack of variety of liquids that we are so used to. It's an interesting personal challenge and learning experience to come up with mental and practical ways of dealing with it.

Thanks so much for your support! A number of sponsors have chosen to give cash or a cheque donation so the amount raised so far is quite a bit more than appears here. It's closer to $350 now with promises for more. This is what keeps me on track with my part of the deal!

It's the end of day 4 and I'm not craving the caffeine as much as I was at the start! I find I can amost fool myself with a cup of hot water when the desire for a cuppa hits! That doesn't work for the red wine!! Oh well, my body will thank me for a 2 week spell!
